How we are funded
If you are interested in any of our services, then you will be excited to find out that all of this is completely free. We are able to do this as this project is funded by Bristol City Council and The West of England Combined Authority.
Bristol City Council and The West of England Combined authority are dedicated to help build the local Bristol economy and specifically, for this Grow Your Own project, the food and hospitality sector within Bristol. They are aware of not just how much growth potential there is for these sectors and therefore its potential impact on the local economy, but also the significant impact that Covid19 has had on these businesses. To help, they are funding this Grow Your Own project along with The Food Source destination at St Nicholas Market to assist those already in the sector and those looking to enter it.

This project is focused in supporting those in this sector from disadvantaged or underrepresented communities including those from different ethnicities, women, those living with long term disabilities and young people. We work with partners such as ACH, and Babbasa, to help and support these communities too.

Sustainability is also essential for the future of Bristol. We work with Future Leap to help you start your sustainability journey to net zero.
Societal impact and improvement is also high on the list of priorities for this project. We work closely with School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) to help you contribute to society in a positive way and make a difference to the communities that you work in.

Grow Your Own is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government's Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. For more information, click here.
